The YAMAHA BB has undergone a model change for the first time in seven years to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the series.
The design has been reviewed and refined into a modern design while retaining the atmosphere typical of the “BB series”. The slimmer shape of the body and other parts has also improved playability. The 3-ply body and miter bolting neck joint have been newly adopted to thoroughly improve the body sound.
In addition to improving the efficiency of string vibration and body vibration, durability has also been improved, resulting in a slim yet tough sounding bass. In addition, the newly developed pickups have been installed to achieve a clearer sound with more presence, while maintaining the powerful, thick bass sound that is the hallmark of the “BB Series”. This model is equipped with an active circuit that can also be switched to passive.
